Quick Tip: Use Google Docs to view PDFs
I've been using Google Docs even before it was called Google Docs. Remember Writely? Well after all this time I've just learned a new trick. Google Docs comes with a PDF and PPT viewer. Okay I knew about the viewer, but what I didn't know is you could link to it.

If you want your readers to view PDF or PPT files without downloading them, add this in front of your links: http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=

Example: View PDF
<A HREF="http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://www.blogoklahoma.com/twitter/oktwitter_quick_reference.pdf">View PDF</A>
The Google Docs viewer does an okay job with Powerpoint presentations (PPT), but it doesn't keep the font.

Example: View PPT.

Would you like to use the Google Docs viewer to view PDFs on other sites? Try this bookmarklet. It'll convert all the PDF, PPT, and Tiff links on a page to use the Google Docs viewer.
