Just when I started using FriendFeed more, I learn they've been acquired by Facebook.

... FriendFeed.com will continue to operate normally for the time being. We're still figuring out our longer-term plans for the product with the Facebook team. As usual, we will communicate openly about our plans as they develop — keep an eye on the FriendFeed News group for updates.

I have mixed emotions on this. I am happy for FriendFeed, and I hope they can use this opportunity to improve and grow their service. On the other hand I would hate for them to vanish (like Jaiku did when Google bought them) or degrade into something like Facebook. You can only ignore so many farm animal requests.
