I'm at the point where I need to brainstorm some ideas for the new Explore page. Below I'm going to list what the new Explore page will have, and a short list of some ideas. Your feedback is important. So please post your suggestions.

Will Have:

• Simple list by title, ring number, location, or social network
• Keyword search by title, description, location, or tag
• Tag cloud
• List podcasts
• List community blogs
• Google CSE of member blogs
• Random jump button
• blogroll / sidebar
• OPML for blogroll, news feeds, and podcast feeds.
• "ShareThis" button on listings

Ideas:

• Featured blog of the week/month?
• Random blog of the day?
• Star or Digg style ratings? (Member Only?)
• Comments on blog listings? (Would use DISQUS)
• Member blogroll? (Lets members' build their own blogroll from list [OPML also])
• Reduce the number of defined social networks to most used? (Keep just Twitter, Facebook, Digg, etc)
• Special listing for news media blogs?
• News River? (Idea shelved for now)
